Dear Parents and Carers,
Welcome to this week’s newsletter! We hope you and your family are well and enjoying the early signs of spring. As always, we are incredibly proud of our school community and the way our children continue to shine—through their curiosity, kindness, and enthusiasm for learning.
In Monday's assembly, we celebrated the winners of a story in a jar. We thank every child that entered and Mrs Lampitt has already purchased some new books for the class libraries with the money raised. Our next competition will be the Easter Bonnet competition (Friday 27th March).
Mr Hand (Trust Vice CEO), Mrs Bradshaw and I along with our Maths leader, Mrs Rudge, completed a picture building on Maths. We are pleased to share that we can see progress that the school has made since the OFSTED inspection; children are eager, can talk about previous learning, are aware of the help and support they can get in lessons, understanding that learning is building on prior knowledge and skills.
Mrs Hamblin joined Mr Hand and the school leaders to discuss the wider impact that the school is making. They would both like to thank staff, children and parents for all their hard work and effort that has been put into children's learning.
Reception need your help . . . . On Wednesday they are junk modelling with parents. If any parents have empty cardboard boxes or plastic bottles, the teachers would appreciate any donations on Monday and Tuesday.
Staffing updates;
The junior school are saying 'Goodbye' to Mrs Fletcher on Monday. As a school, we would like to thank her for the wonderful service that she has provided over the last 10 years across both sites, as she originally started at Heathfields.
Mrs Tudor-Stringer will be moving to the junior kitchen to manage the junior kitchen with Mrs Ponsford. Miss Rylatt will be stepping up to become Heathfields cook, she will continue to be supported by Miss Markham and Miss Lowe (from the junior kitchen)
