Dear Parents and Carers,
We hope you all enjoyed a relaxing bank holiday weekend with family and friends. It’s hard to believe how quickly this half-term is moving on, with each week bringing new achievements, experiences and moments to celebrate across the school.
Preparations are now well underway for our end-of-year events, and there is a real sense of excitement building as we look ahead to the final part of the year. Please see details below about upcoming events.
Next week is an important milestone for our Year 6 pupils as they begin their end of Key Stage 2 assessments. The children have worked incredibly hard, and we are immensely proud of the dedication, resilience and maturity they have shown throughout the year.
We are confident that every child will approach the week positively and do their very best. As always, we remind them that these assessments are simply an opportunity to show what they know — trying their best is what matters most, and we will be supporting them every step of the way.

Year 6 Family Picnic & Outdoor Learning
A gentle reminder that on Friday 15th May, Year 6 parents are warmly invited to join their Year 6 child for a family picnic. Please bring along a picnic and arrive at 1:30pm at the main entrance ready to enjoy some time together.
If your child has ordered a hot dinner on this day, they will eat this at their usual lunchtime before parents arrive.
After the picnic, we would love you to stay and take part in Year 6's outdoor learning afternoon. This is a great opportunity to join your child in a range of fun, hands-on outdoor activities and see their learning in action.
Year 6 Swimming
Please note that there will be no Year 6 swimming next week for Class Sachar due to it being SATs week. Lessons will resume the following week as normal.
Sensory/Fidget Toys
We kindly ask that children do not bring fidget toys into school. If we feel a child would benefit from one, we will provide a suitable option that meets our safety standards. This helps us ensure they are used appropriately, do not become a distraction and reduces the risk of items being lost or broken.
Please also be aware of the following notification we have received as a school.

Sports Day
Sports Day will take place on Thursday 21st May at the Junior School site.
The sessions will be organised as follows:
- 9:10 – 10:25: Years 3 & 4
- 10:35 – 12:00: Years 5 & 6
Children should come to school dressed in their PE kits. Please note that football shirts are not permitted.
Parents and carers are asked to enter the school via the blue gate at the end of the junior car park.
