Dear Parents and Carers,
Celebrating Attendance: Hero’s Assembly Launch
This week, we proudly launched our Hero’s Assembly for Years 1 and 2, as part of the Staffordshire campaign to promote excellent school attendance. The key messages we’re sharing with children are:
- Be in school
- Be ready
- Be on time
You may have noticed children wearing Hero stickers during morning registration—these are part of our celebration of good attendance. We’re excited to extend this initiative to Reception children after the October half-term.
Data and Social Media Permissions
As part of our ongoing commitment to safeguarding and data accuracy, we kindly ask that you log into your Arbor account and review your child’s information. Please ensure the following are up-to-date:
- Media permissions (including social media consent)
- Emergency contact numbers
- Home address
- Any other relevant personal details
Accurate records help us keep your child safe and ensure smooth communication throughout the school year.
Thank you to our Parent/Carer Community
A big thank you to everyone who attended our first parent/carer workshop last week. It was wonderful to see so many of you there and to share such a positive and engaging session together.
Our next workshop will take place on Wednesday 12th November, with a focus on emotionality and anxiety. Everyone is welcome, and we encourage you to join us. Keep an eye out for more details coming soon!
Tamworth Hygiene Bank
We’ve received a generous delivery from the Tamworth Hygiene Bank. Products are now available in both school reception areas for those who may need them. Please feel free to pop in.
Free School Meals
The local authority will soon be releasing the ‘food vouchers’ in preparation for the October half term, for those families in receipt of this grant.
Families with children who are already entitled to ‘Pupil Premium’ free school meals, you don’t need to do anything, we will be sharing the information regarding these as soon as we have them.
If your child(ren) is not currently in receipt of this funding and you would like to check if your family may qualify for a food voucher, you will need to check eligibility by applying online using this link: https://apps2.staffordshire.gov.uk/web/fsmweb/ (click link or copy & paste into browser).
If you require any assistance, please speak to the school office, who will be happy to support you with this process.
Reminder: No Dogs on School Grounds
For the safety and comfort of all our pupils, staff, and families, we kindly remind parents and carers that dogs are not permitted on school grounds at any time, including during drop-off and pick-up.
This policy helps us maintain a safe and welcoming environment for everyone, especially for children who may be anxious around animals.

MacMillian Coffee Morning
The school and PTFA are hosting a MacMillian Coffee Morning on Thursday 25th September at Wilnecote Juniors in the hall from 9-10am. Please ensure that you go to the school office first to sign in. This will also allow us time to ensure that the children are settled in class. Our wonderful catering team will be providing us with tray bakes. Please feel free to bring along cakes with allergy labels. We will leave a donation box for people to donate towards the charity, or you can donate on the school just giving page:
Will you donate to Macmillan Coffee Morning 2025 ?
Thank you for your continued support. Have a lovely weekend.
