Looking at your children's books

Next Friday we will be sending home your child's Maths and English books. We want to share the books with you on a more frequent basis. Our aim is for you to be aware of the progress that your child is making. (Mrs Bradshaw will send further details next Friday)

Parents’ Evening – Book Your Slot!

Appointments are filling up fast! If you haven’t booked yet, please make sure to secure your slot as soon as possible to avoid missing out.

They take place on Wednesday 22nd October and Thursday 23rd October. This is a valuable opportunity for you to meet with your child’s class teacher and discuss their progress.

How to Book:

Parents can sign up for a 10-minute session with the class teacher via Arbor. The booking link will go live today at 4pm.

We encourage all parents to book early to secure a convenient time. If you have any questions or need assistance with Arbor, please contact the school office.

We look forward to seeing you there!

PTFA Meeting – Everyone Welcome! Thursday 16th October  9:00–10:00 AM Heathfields

Parents from both schools are warmly invited to join us for our upcoming PTFA meeting. It’s a great chance to:

  • Meet the PTFA team

  • Share your ideas and talents

  • Offer support in ways that suit you — from updating social media and making posters to helping at events.

?? No regular commitment is required — any help is appreciated!

The PTFA raises funds that directly support our schools and create fun, family-friendly events throughout the year. Come along, get involved, and help make a difference!

Reading Reminders

Please ensure your child reads regularly and has their reading diary signed at least four times each week. This helps us support their progress and build strong reading habits.

Attendance Update

We’re proud of the strong start our children have made this term. Despite a brief setback in Year 1 due to several cases of chickenpox, attendance across the school remains encouraging.

Here are our current attendance figures:

Year Group Attendance to Date
Whole School 95.6%
Reception 94.89%
Year 1 96.96%
Year 2 94.89%

Please remember that our target for every child is at least 96%. Regular attendance is vital for learning, progress, and wellbeing.

The class with the best attendance this week is Rosen with 98%

The class with the highest numbers of readers this week is Ahlberg with 92%
