First Aid – Change in communications
From Tuesday 14th October, we will no longer be sending paper first aid forms home with children. Instead, all first aid incidents will be recorded electronically in Arbor, our school Management Information System (MIS). At the end of each school day, you will receive a daily summary email detailing any first aid incidents involving your child.
Please be assured that we will continue to follow our First Aid Policy. Where an incident is deemed significant, we will still contact you by telephone as appropriate, as well as recording the incident in Arbor. Examples of such significant incidents may include:
Significant emotional distress (irrespective of any lasting injury)
Severe cuts or lacerations
Potential broken bones
Other major injuries or incidents possibly requiring medical or dental treatment
This change will help us improve communication, reduce paper usage and ensure that such records are stored securely and efficiently. We believe this will also enable first aid incidents to be more easily monitored and, subsequently, any common causes identified, and mitigations implemented.
Thank you for your understanding and support as we implement this improvement.
Parking – dropping off and collection
As part of our ongoing efforts to maintain a safe and welcoming environment for everyone in our community, we kindly ask for your cooperation regarding parking and drop-off practices.
Please do not block:
Pathways and pedestrian walkways
Driveways of neighbouring homes
Allocated parking spaces
These areas must remain accessible at all times to ensure:
Safe passage for children, families, and residents
Emergency vehicle access
Respect for neighbours’ property and parking rights
We understand that drop-off and pick-up times can be busy, but a few extra steps can make a big difference in keeping our community safe and considerate.
Thank you for your understanding and support in helping us maintain a respectful and accessible environment for all.
