Dear Parents and Carers,
As we come to the end of a busy and successful week, I would like to take a moment to celebrate our Year 6 pupils and the exceptional way they have approached their SATs. Throughout the week, they have shown maturity, resilience and a calm determination that has made us all incredibly proud. Their hard work and commitment have truly shone through, and they have been fantastic role models for the rest of the school. Well done Year 6, you should all be feeling very proud of yourselves!
FINAL CALL FOR SUMMER FAIR VOLUNTEERS
We still need volunteers for our summer fair. Signing up is quick and easy, it only takes a few seconds, and your support really does make a difference in helping events like this take place: volunteersignup.org/WYBWL
BIKES
We’ve seen an increasing number of children coming to school on bikes independently, which is wonderful to see. However, we have noticed that some children are riding without helmets and are cycling up and down the roads while waiting for the gates to open. Please could we ask you to speak with your child about staying safe on their journey to and from school, including wearing a helmet and waiting sensibly near the gates. We really appreciate your support in helping to keep all of our children safe.

Safety Update – Play Sand Products
We would like to make families aware of a recent government safety alert regarding certain toys and craft products that contain play sand.
Some of these products have been recalled as there is a potential risk that the sand may contain trace levels of asbestos. The list of affected items has recently been expanded.
We kindly ask parents and carers to check any toys, craft kits or sand products at home to ensure they are not included in the recalled products.
Up-to-date information and the full list of affected items can be found by searching “asbestos in consumer products UK” on the GOV.UK website.
If you believe you may have one of the affected items, please stop using it and follow the safety guidance provided online.
Thank you for your support in helping to keep children safe.
