Dear Parents and Carers,

Year 1; have been looking at Pointillism in art, directional language in Maths (including left and right), starting to grow their own beans and have enjoyed a trip looking at toys from the past.

Year 2; have been looking at bulbs in Science, discussing Kings and Queens from the past

Safety Update – Play Sand Products

We would like to make families aware of a recent government safety alert regarding certain toys and craft products that contain play sand.

Some of these products have been recalled as there is a potential risk that the sand may contain trace levels of asbestos. The list of affected items has recently been expanded.

We kindly ask parents and carers to check any toys, craft kits or sand products at home to ensure they are not included in the recalled products.

Up-to-date information and the full list of affected items can be found by searching “asbestos in consumer products UK” on the GOV.UK website.

If you believe you may have one of the affected items, please stop using it and follow the safety guidance provided online.

Thank you for your support in helping to keep children safe.

Non-school uniform day - Friday 22nd May 2026

Children are invited to come to school in non-school uniform. We are asking for donations of jars filled with items that could be used on one of the Summer Fair stalls. Examples of filled jars may contain sweets, art and craft resources, a small toy, stationary etc.

Health and Safety notice -Headlice -once a week take a peek!

We have noticed an increase in cases of head lice in school recently. Head lice are very common and are not a sign of poor hygiene, but they do spread easily. We kindly ask families to help by taking a quick peek through your child’s hair once a week and treating them promptly if lice are found. Regular checks really do make a big difference in reducing the spread. Thank you for your continued support.
