Dear Parents and Carers

Celebrating a Wonderful Year

This year has been filled with memorable experiences, exciting learning opportunities and moments that will stay with us for years to come. From classroom achievements and school visits to performances, celebrations, sporting events and community activities, our children have embraced every opportunity with enthusiasm and pride.

Most importantly, we have continued to build a school community where children feel safe, valued and inspired to be the very best versions of themselves.

Looking Ahead

As we prepare for the summer break, I hope all of our families enjoy a well-earned rest, spend quality time together and create many happy memories.

For those returning in September, we look forward to welcoming you back for another exciting year of learning and growth. For those moving on, thank you for being part of the Heathfields story.

Have a wonderful summer and thank you once again for helping make this year so special.

Year 1 – Display of artwork

A couple of weeks ago, Year 1 had some volunteers from Tamworth Castle in making some flowers with the children. Their artwork alongside other groups will be displayed at Tamworth Castle.

They have shared the following message:

On 25 and 26 July, we’ll also be hosting the Kingdom of Mercia Family Fun Days, with activities including Viking and Saxon encampments, live performances and music from 10.00am–4.00pm. It would be wonderful if families could come along.

All details are available on Tamworth Castle’s social media channels.

Message from Matthew Fletcher -Chair of Governors

As we come to the end of the school year, I would like to take this opportunity to personally thank all of our pupils, parents, carers and staff for everything they have done to make this such a positive year. It has been fantastic to see how much the school has continued to grow and improve.

The children have achieved so much, and that is down to the hard work of our staff, the enthusiasm of our pupils and the support we receive from you, our families.

We’re also pleased that the junior school has started to benefit from increased government funding, through the RISE programme. This extra investment will help us continue improving the school, giving our children even better opportunities to learn, grow and succeed. While we’re proud of how far we’ve come, we’re excited about what the future holds and are committed to building on this progress.

On behalf of the Governing Board, I hope you all have a wonderful, safe and relaxing summer. Thank you for being part of our school community, and we look forward to welcoming everyone back in September for another great year.

Updates from the PTFA

Dear Parents and Carers,

For the last 3 years our PTFA has been proud to support the school and our children through fundraising events and providing additional resources that benefit every pupil.

The future of the PTFA depends on new people coming forward. Without enough trustees and volunteers, the PTFA may be unable to continue operating.

If you’ve ever enjoyed a PTFA event or seen the benefits of the funds raised, now is the time to help ensure that this valuable part of our school community can continue.

You don’t need any special experience—just a willingness to help make a difference for our school community.

If you would like to find out more, with no obligation, come along to our next AGM or leave contact details with either office.

Thank you for your continued support.

Katie Fletcher - Chair

Thank you to Mrs Rudge and Miss Golder for their hardwork, we wish them the very best for September when they move to Year 3.

Finally, thank you for your overwhelming kindness, generosity and thoughtful messages this year; your support and appreciation mean so much to our staff team, and we are truly grateful to be part of such a caring and supportive school community.

Have a lovely summer.

Mr Melloy
